It’s been a roller-coaster of a few weeks, culminating yesterday in the national elections for
New Zealand.
Every three years, we get to elect a government of our choice.
But it seems to me that the people only vote the opposite of what they see has been
happening, not voting strategically, with forethought to what is going to happen.
No man, no political party, can fix what is wrong with this world. Nobody can be that
powerful.
But, there is coming one man out of a system who will claim to be able to fix war, fix
poverty, to bring peace to the world.
Beware that man.
1 Thessalonians 5
1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the
night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon
them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
War between Russia and Ukraine, war in Israel (with Iran hovering over their shoulder).
Food prices soaring and many being unable to now provide adequately for their families.
So much happening around the world.
But let me tell you this.
We must stop looking to people for our provision, our salvation, to give us safety and peace.
Because man can’t and won’t.
There is only one who can give us peace, who can salvage this earth, and He has promised
He will do this.
Those who call on the name of Jesus, SHALL be saved.
So, what do we do now? How do we live through these very turbulent times?
There is only ONE WAY forward. Only one. And those who say they don’t do religion – yes,
good on you. Neither do I. Religion has the smell of corruption and death all over it.
But I do adhere to an amazing loving Father God. Not the God of religion, but the God of all
truth. One who loves you unconditionally, adores you. He is the one who will rescue you and
bring you peace, no matter what the circumstances are.
No matter what anyone does or says, if we will only focus completely on our Heavenly Father through Jesus, then nothing that goes on around you can sway you from your peace.
Do you want that?
Would that then start to bring world peace?
You betcha!
How do you get this?
It’s actually very easy.
Stop relying on yourself and look fully at what God actually did for you. I bet you wouldn’t
allow your child to be sacrificed for a load of ungrateful, uncaring people. People who
couldn’t care about your hearts anguish. But Papa God did. He did it just for you.
So that ALL would be saved and that he wants that NONE would perish.
Jesus, is the only way.
He holds the only Truth.
He is solely capable of giving you life.
All you have to do is to acknowledge Him, lay down your bunch of junk and surrender all
your lies, your secret hidden filth, your own corrupt pride and self-reliance. He already
knows what’s in your life and heart anyway.
You can’t hide it from Him.
Surrender, acknowledge that He alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
